Orginally, Mike was going to drive his 1969 fathom green Chevy Camaro SS convertible, but it flamed out on the way up to Santa Barbara for the 2nd year in a row! Fortunately, Mike's 1967 Shelby GT 350 was waiting at home, ready to go. Without missing a beat, he flat-bedded his Shelby to Bacara just in time to make the starting grid. A few days into the rally, Michelle flew home to check on the kids, and Doug Sakurai took over right-seat duties.
